What is STEM?

STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. STEM education is a student-centered, interdisciplinary approach to learning that integrates these areas. It's based on a practical approach that encourages curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, and helps students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

STEM education can help students become innovators, inventors, and logical thinkers who can solve problems using technology and science. STEM degree programs can prepare students for a wide range of well-paying jobs that benefit society. Some majors that are often considered STEM include mathematics, physics, neuroscience, nursing, engineering, computer science, biology, and chemistry.
